Finishing last details
Hey everyone!
This days I’ve been experimenting with a new feature: I want a certain animal to appear in different locations depending on how far the player has progressed in the story.
It sounds simple, but I’ve been wrestling with variables and event conditions in RPG Maker MZ to get it working just right. The goal is to make the animal feel like it’s reacting to the player’s journey — maybe appearing near key locations, vanishing from others, or even watching from a distance when things get… darker.
Right now, I’m testing a system that checks story progression through switches and variables, then updates the animal's position accordingly. It’s tricky, but it’s coming together — and I think it’ll add a subtle but eerie touch to the game world.
More updates soon. Thanks for following the development!
